What makes this practical?

I might not have gone to bible college and don't hold to a title such as pastor but I do think that Biblical truth and understanding is possible without these things. The men that wrote the Bible were inspired by God to do so and they all had their flaws. It doesn't take a degree to put God's words into your life and do your own studies. I have studied some of Israel's history and the culture to gain insight into certain passages of scripture. I have noticed that the best teaching style is through parable and I know it is the best since Christ Jesus used it most of the time. I have been a devoted Christian for years so I have gained some insight into who God is and yet I also realize how little I know. Over the past twelve years I have had some times where I was backsliding, but every time I got to a point God showed me He never left me. I have built up a personal relationship with God and even when knowledge of certain things start building up and it becomes hard to believe God makes Himself known sometimes in practical ways. I will write basically on somethings I I learned through study and some I have had revealed to me by God. I don't claim to be bringing information that you can't get elsewhere and I won't be ranting about the end of the world coming or the rapture or anything radically out there for me to say God is telling me. No man knows the day nor the hour the Lord will return so to give a time of any kind is against the Bible. The debate about when the rapture will take place is unimportant as many other doctrines are. What makes it unimportant is that God decides and for us to say that we believe one way or another makes no impact on what will happen. If one person said hurricane Katrina was going to hit Florida and another said it would hit Georgia and another says Louisiana until the hurricane had come close to hitting New Orleans it was unknown and no matter how much logic you applied to it the location it would hit was a Guess. In the same way what does it matter how much effort we put into our beliefs it ultimately depends on what God wants. This is an example of my practical applications if you like this post there is more to come
